Q:  Why is  ordering cakes online so expensive?

A: The price on our website reflects the cake(s), all the custom packaging, and necessary preparation for safe delivery. Please view our Cake Pricing page for more information.

We encourage customers to purchase from a local retailer. For those that are not within driving distance of a retailer that sells our cakes, we have provided the most cost-effective method we could procure to ship our cakes for everyone to enjoy. If you are unsure if you are near a retailer that carries our cakes, please email [email protected] and our team will try to locate one for you.

Q:  I’m confused about shipping. Can you help me out?

A: Cake orders are only available for next-day delivery. ToasterTops orders are available for next-day or ground shipping.  Ground shipments will be sent out the Monday or Wednesday following your order date. Please view our Shipping and Ordering Policies for more detailed information. If you are still unsure, please submit your question to our [email protected] email address and we will respond as soon as we can.

Q: Can I ship a package to Alaska?

A: Please contact us at [email protected] if you would like to ship to Alaska as delivery options may be limited.

Q: How long will it take to receive my online order?

A: Depending on where you are in the continental United States, the delivery options and timing for your order will vary. Please visit our Shipping & Ordering Policies page for more information.

Q: Why can’t I select certain dates on the calendar?

A: Because we currently only ship orders on Mondays and Wednesdays, we have limited delivery dates to Tuesdays and Thursdays (for next-day air shipments). For ground shipments, unless stated in the “notes” section at checkout, we will ship your ground package the Monday or Wednesday following your order date.

Certain dates may be unavailable due to closures surrounding holidays.

Q: Can I order in bulk?/Do you offer discounts for large orders?

A: Please email [email protected] with your name, phone number, and request. A Bill Knapp’s representative will contact you to work out the best options for your request.

Q: Are your baked goods made in a nut-free facility?

A: No. Our baked goods are not made in nut-free facilities. Please double check each item’s page for additional allergen information.

Q: What is your baked goods’ shelf life?

A: Our celebration cakes have a use-by shelf life of 7 days.

Our doughnuts have a use-by shelf life of 7 days.

Our ToasterTops have a use-by shelf life of 9 days (blueberry) and 11 days (cornbread).

Our breads have a use-by shelf life of 6 days.

Q: How many people do your cakes feed?

A: Our cakes serve 6-8 people.

Q: When are you open?

A: Our office operating hours are from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. The Outlet Store is not currently open to the public.
